
Junior tight end De'queze Fryer is the LaGrange College Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 12.
Fryer was named to the American Football Coaches Association Division III All-America second team. He is the fourth LC football player to earn All-America honors. He joins Andre Carter (2012, 2013), Will Jeffcoat (2012), and Peyton Haynes (2019) receiving the national recognition.
Fryer set a school record this season with 944 receiving yards. He had the second most receptions (66) and TD receptions (11) in a season by a Panther. He led the conference in receptions, receiving yards, receiving yards per game, and receptions per game. Fryer was the team's leading scorer with 66 points and in all purpose yards with 944. He ranked in the Top 40 in Division III in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, receiving yards per game, and receptions per game.
