Senior men's soccer defender Evan Sampers is the LaGrange College Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 24.
Sampers finished with one goal and one assist during a 1-1-1 week for the Panthers. He picked up an assist with an outstanding throw-in on Enrique Hernandez's goal in the eighth minute during a 2-2 draw at Huntingdon on Oct. 19. The Buford, Georgia, native tallied his first collegiate penalty-kick goal with 2:48 remaining in the first half during a 2-1 triumph over Warren Wilson on Oct. 24.
Sampers was honored during senior day prior to a USA South game against Brevard at Panther Field on Oct. 23.
