Greetings, Panthers and Panther fans:
With fall sports concluding, our men's and women's basketball teams are ready for action! As we gear up for our home basketball games in Mariotti Gymnasium, I wanted to remind our proud Panther community of how we are working to keep student-athletes and our spectators safe.
Student-athletes and spectators must follow these masking procedures:
- Indoor Masking Policy for Student-Athletes:
When playing indoors, masks are optional when practicing or competing.
Masks must be worn (over nose and mouth) in all other settings (i.e., on the bench, in locker rooms, walking in/out of the building). - Indoor Masking Policy for Coaches, Team Personnel and Spectators:
Coaches, team personnel and spectators are required to always wear a mask (over nose and mouth) indoors.
Maximum capacity limit is set at 75% for all indoor athletic venues.
All team personnel are following these pandemic procedures:
- All participants must meet the NCAA Core Principles of Resocialization of College Sport guidelines for testing and vaccinations.
- No coach, student-athlete or athletics team personnel can have a confirmed COVID-19 positive test within 10 days prior to a competition.
- Contract Tracing: If a member of the travel party from either team becomes symptomatic or has a positive test for COVID-19 within 48 hours after a competition, the Director of Athletics or Head Athletic Trainer will communicate the identity of that individual to the opponent's Director of Athletics or Head Athletic Trainer.
We are excited to have the Panthers back on the court and to have each of you cheering them to victory!
