Junior tight end De'queze Fryer was named to the American Football Coaches Association Division III All-America second team as announced by the organization.
Fryer is the fourth LC football player to earn All-America honors. He joins Andre Carter (2012, 2013), Will Jeffcoat (2012), and Peyton Haynes (2019) receiving the national recognition.
Fryer set a school record this season with 944 receiving yards. He had the second most receptions (66) and TD receptions (11) in a season by a Panther. He led the conference in receptions, receiving yards, receiving yards per game, and receptions per game. Fryer was the team's leading scorer with 66 points and in all purpose yards with 944. He ranked in the Top 40 in Division III in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, receiving yards per game, and receptions per game.
Fryer had five games of 100 receiving yards or more. He had season highs of nine catches and 123 yards in the 38-34 win at Southern Virginia. In a 29-14 Homecoming win over Greensboro, Fryer had seven receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He had a 65-yard touchdown reception against Berry. He led the team with 10 plays of 20 or more yards. In addition, Fryer is the first Panther to score at least one touchdown in every game of a season.
